What to Sell on Amazon FBA: The Best 5 Products for April 2024

The hardest part about selling on Amazon is, well, figuring out what to sell on Amazon. You may have what you think is a great idea for a product, but smart sellers rely on data — not always their gut instincts — for which products to invest in.

This is especially true in April when customers start to shop for Spring and Summer items. This time of year is when the warmer weather and seasonal items start to pick up again — which sellers can take advantage of.

How do you pick the best products to sell on Amazon? How do you know what consumers are buying during this time of year? How much inventory should you purchase?

We’ll answer all those questions and more in this article, so keep reading.

1. Kids summer clothes

If you are ungated in the clothing category on Amazon, selling kids summer clothing can be a big opportunity to earn money this month. As we head into Spring, parents will look for new clothing items for their kids.

I searched for both “girls summer clothing” and “boys summer clothing” in Keyword Scout, and you can see a big spike in search volume for related keywords.

While creating a private label clothing product for April is out of the question, you will still have time to create a new clothing product for the summer months. Though, retail arbitrage is the way to go for seasonal products like this.

What can you sell? Take a look around your local department stores, and you’ll find tons of kids’ clothing already on sale.

Use an Amazon seller scanner app to scan the barcodes of the many clothing and shoe items and see which ones you can profit by reselling on Amazon.

2. Men’s and women’s bathing suits

It’s that time of the year again! The time when men and women get some new clothes and bathing suits for the summer season.

There are plenty of arbitrage and wholesale opportunities to resell other brands of swimwear without creating private label brands. Though you certainly can build your own brand of swimsuits.

Let’s look at the numbers.

Nearly every keyword in each of these lists is trending upwards. This information tells us that now is the time to stock up as the weather continues to warm up and consumers head to the beach or the pool.

Check out this graph of the keyword “bathing suit for women.”

As you can see, the search trend for these types of keywords is trending upward as the weather warms. Time to stock up!

3. Travel accessories

As consumers get ready for spring break and summer vacation, they will need to stock up on the right products before heading on their next adventure.

There are many products you can offer to consumers who want to get back on the road or take flight.

I searched for “travel accessories” in Keyword Scout, and it returned more than 1,200 results. That is a lot of opportunities to sell products that people are actively searching for.

While the keyword “travel accessories” is very competitive, you can easily niche down and find less competitive subcategories within the travel category. Search for “travel accessories” on Amazon, then see what types of products appear in the search results.

Then take some of those products you found and search for those related keywords in Keyword Scout to see the search volume and search trends.

I see ideas such as cruise must haves packing list, airplane travel essentials, travel bags, travel-size toiletries, TSA-approved bags, packing cubes, and travel containers. Take the time to go through some of these keyword results to find a less competitive product opportunity you can jump on.

4. Gardening supplies

As the weather warms, that means it will be time to tend to the garden again. Replanting flowers, cleaning up the yard — there are tons of products you can offer consumers.

I searched for “gardening supplies” in Keyword Scout, and these were the results.

Most of the keywords in this list are trending upward, meaning that consumers are actively searching for and purchasing these types of products now.

Scroll through some of the search results on Amazon to get some ideas of the products you can offer. If you don’t have time or the budget to launch a private label gardening product, search for wholesale and arbitrage opportunities.

5. Golf accessories

We all know someone like this: as soon as the weather starts to break and get a little warm, they’re on the golf course. Golf has become increasingly popular over the past couple of years, and this year is no different.

Now is a great opportunity to offer golfing products on Amazon. Scroll through the search results on Amazon to get an idea of what types of products you can sell.

Golf related keywords are starting to see an uptick in 30 day search trends, so now is the time to start stocking up.

There are many great opportunities to launch new private label products for golf, but if you want to capitalize sooner than later, there are an unlimited number of retail arbitrage and wholesale opportunities.
